Donald Joseph Qualls, better known as DJ Qualls is an American actor, producer and fashion model. After becoming famous through his role on Road Trip and The New Guy Hustle & Flow He has appeared in more than 20 feature films including The Core. In addition to his work as a character in the film, he's appeared in over 22 TV programs like Breaking Bad Supernatural Srubs Lost Law & Order as well as other. Qualls has been fighting Hodgkin's Lymphoma from the time he was 14 years old. Two years later, the cancer is now in remission. However, the earlier treatment had a severe impact on his health as well as stunted development. Because he was a child of poverty, he wanted to attain financial stability. He said, "I've been living so in a state of financial sanity for so long that I'm in need of financial security otherwise the world can seem out of control for me." In an interview the actor also discusses his growing up. He is determined to end the bullying. The cruelty inflicted on him hurts him to the core. The ideal role for DJ is that of a real-life father. He admits that Directors do not cast him in these role. He would like to have a child of his own when he would be able to spend much less time and energy to his profession and more time to his son.
